The TPC of Tampa Bay is the annual host of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-am, a Champions Tour event. Designed by architect Bobby Weed and PGA Tour Design Services, this track is "stadium golf" at its best with man-made mounds bordering most fairways and greens. The course is perfectly maintained from tee to green and features dramatically undulating greens and water on 14 holes. The Eagles Golf Club - Forest Course ~ 11.56 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Located just north of Tampa Bay Downs (20 minutes north of downtown), The Eagles features two 18-hole golf courses surrounded by over 30 lakes, ponds, and canals. The Lakes sports an abundance of water hazards, elevated greens and many fairway bunkers. Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest features the signature island-green sixth hole, which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. Plantation Palms Golf Club ~ 15.01 miles (Not Driving Distance)
You'll find this David Harman design just north of Tampa. The links-style design includes ample greens, wide fairways, and elevated tees. Harman did a marvelous job with the framing and tee design of Plantation Palms. Great consideration was given to beginners and higher handicap players, while also providing a challenge for the accomplished player.
